About the Gas Forum

The Gas Forum was established in 1994. Its Members include every significant GB gas shipper and gas supplier ('gas shippers' own gas from import at the beach terminals to the point of delivery to customers premises where "gas suppliers" then sell the gas to the customer) along with Storage Operators and Off Shore Producers.

It has now become a substantial body, respected and consulted by Westminster, the Department of Energy and Climate Change, Ofgem, the European Commission, National Grid Gas, Scotia Gas Networks, Wales and West Utilities, Northern Gas Networks and others.

The Gas Forum offers numerous benefits and services to companies either already active, or planning to participate, in the downstream gas industry. At regular members' meetings, and through a wide range of workgroups, it gets quickly to the heart of issues that impact the industry, both now and in the future, and provides an invaluable opportunity to share opinions.

Comprehensive information on what is happening across the broad spectrum of the industry is discussed at regular meetings and published on the Gas Forum's active members-only secure area of the website. The members-only sections are updated regularly to provide an invaluable and varied source of information.

Gas Forum membership is open to all licensed GB gas shippers and gas suppliers whose applications are approved by the Executive Committee.
