Gas Forum appoints its first MD

Wednesday, 18 January 2012 15:48

The Gas Forum has today (17th Jan 2012) appointed its first Managing Director, David Cox, speaking on the appointment David Faragher (Gas Forum Chairman) said...

“The Gas Forum needs to focus on several key issues that will shape the future of the gas industry”. “In the UK we have to challenge any misconceptions that gas cannot play a major role in contributing to the long term carbon reduction policy objective. We must ensure that gas is not squeezed out of the energy market by misdirected policies. In Europe, we need to ensure that the views and interests of UK industry are properly represented across the broad range of EU led policy initiatives. We recognised that we needed an individual who could spearhead these initiatives and David’s credentials fulfil this perfectly.”
